About our Referral Program

As part of our referral program, we will also make a matching $5 donation to our agency’s ‘Charity of the Quarter’. The Wells Community Boys & Girls Club was nominated by WalkerHughes team member Dan Lipp as our agency’s Charity of the Quarter. Dan is a Sales Executive in our Bluffton office and has a personal connection with the club as the Board Chair. Dan nominated the club because he feels that many kids in Wells County can use the program to become better adults and have a safe place to go. They learn all aspects of life to make them more successful.
About the Wells Community Boys & Girls Club
The mission of the Wells Community Boys & Girls Club is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
The goal of the Wells Community Boys & Girls Club is to provide:
- A safe place to learn, grow, and have fun.
- Healthy and consistent relationships with caring adult professionals.
- Life enhancing programs that support academic & career success and strong character development.
- Opportunities to support the health of our families and our community.
With focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), the Wells Community Boys & Girls Club provides members with daily instruction using various programs such as:
- ADVENTURE CLUB: Role playing games that encourage imagination, teamwork, social skills, and problem solving.
- LEGO CLUB: Inspires members' creativity through planning and building projects.
- BOWLING CLUB: Members learn skills and principles such as self-confidence, patience, taking turns, sportsmanship, hand & eye coordination and balance, and counting and simple math.
- NBA MATH HOOPS: NBA Math Hoops is a comprehensive MATH program, featuring a curriculum, that allows students to learn fundamental math skills through the game of basketball .
- LIFESKILL TRAINING: Comprehensive, dynamic, and developmentally designed to promote mental health and positive youth development. In addition to helping kids resist drug, alcohol, and tobacco use, the LifeSkills Training Middle School program also effectively supports the reduction of violence and other high-risk behaviors.
