About our Referral Program

At WalkerHughes Insurance, there is no higher compliment than a referral. A referral indicates that we have met the mark for our customers and that they are satisfied with the service provided. We are pleased when our customers trust us enough to recommend us to those closest to them. We know how important friends and family members are, and we promise to treat yours as if they were our own! 

For every customer referring friends and family members that complete a no-obligation insurance review, we will send you a $5 coffee e-gift card as a token of our appreciation! As part of our referral program, we will also make a matching $5 donation to our agency’s ‘Charity of the Quarter’. The purpose of this program is to help organizations close to the hearts of our employees while providing our customers the opportunity to not only receive a coffee on us, but to also help a worthy cause by referring their friends and family. In addition, this also gives us the opportunity to promote awareness of these organizations in our communities through our online presence.

Lydia's House was nominated by WalkerHughes team members, Mike Swatske and Heather Wessels, as our agency’s Charity of the Quarter. Mike and Heather are Regional Directors in Missouri working out of our St. Louis office and both very passionate about supporting their local community. Lydia's House is an organization that has been dear to their hearts for years and we are excited for the opportunity to highlight the wonderful work this organization is doing in the local community. We are also thrilled that Lydia's House is our first official partner organization in the state of Missouri. With WalkerHughes' expansion comes a greater opportunity to serve our local communities and we are grateful to be able to expand our impact into St. Louis!

About Lydia's House

Lydia's House is a nonprofit organization in St. Louis, Missouri, dedicated to supporting women and children escaping domestic violence. As the only standalone transitional housing program in eastern Missouri, it provides safe, confidentially located, fully furnished apartments where survivors can live for up to two years. This secure housing gives families the stability they need to heal and rebuild their lives after experiencing abuse. Lydia’s House is committed to breaking the cycle of domestic violence by offering not only shelter but also advocacy, emotional support, and resources that empower survivors to regain their independence.

Beyond housing, Lydia’s House offers a wide range of supportive services to help women and children move forward. Residents have access to personal advocacy, counseling, support groups, and children’s programming to promote healing and growth. The organization also provides job training opportunities through initiatives like Lydia’s Ladle, which helps women gain employment skills and financial stability. Lydia’s House works tirelessly to provide survivors with a voice for justice and the opportunity for a better, sustainable future, ensuring that they can transition from crisis to confidence and long-term success.

How Can You Help?

• WalkerHughes Customers: If a friend or family member mentions insurance woes or you think we could be of assistance to them, please send them our way! We will send you an e-treat, hopefully help your friend or family member by providing them with a no-obligation insurance review and then make a $5 donation to Lydia's House.
• Lydia's House: If you or any members of your team would like to review their insurance options with our team, let us know! Simply mention 'Lydia's House' and we will document that in our system and include a $5 donation to Lydia's House for every referral. 
• WalkerHughes Employees, Friends, Family and Community Members: Please help us spread the word!! We will have promotional material on our social media pages, if you could like, comment, or share that would help us increase our reach and get the word out.
